Moraira, a picturesque coastal town in the province of Alicante, is distinguished by its exceptional coastline and wonderful beaches. Bathed by turquoise waters and surrounded by charm, Moraira offers a variety of beaches and coves to suit all tastes.

1️⃣ Playa de L'Ampolla: This is an urban beach located in the centre of the town, south of the Port and at the foot of Moraira Castle. L'Ampolla is 250 metres long and approximately 30 metres wide. It is a fine sandy beach, dominated by the Castell de Moraira. It has several facilities such as a bar/restaurant, beach volleyball court and children's playground.
2️⃣ Playa El Portet: This fine sandy beach, close to the town centre, is a real paradise. The crystal clear waters of El Portet beach and its natural surroundings make it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun.
3️⃣ Les Platgetes: Two small coves, one sandy and the other rocky, come together in Les Platgetes.
4️⃣ Cala L'Andragó: With crystal clear waters and an excellent viewpoint, this cove is a quiet corner to enjoy nature.
5️⃣ Cala Cap Blanc: In a more abrupt area, this cove offers panoramic views towards Calpe. Its blue waters and seabed are perfect for diving lovers.

Benissa's beaches

The municipality of Benissa boasts six beautiful beaches and coves along its coastline, commonly known as the Benissa Costa, and located along the road between Moraira and Calpe.

1️⃣ Cala Baladrar: This is the first cove in Benissa after Moraira and on the way to Calpe. It is a pretty pebble beach protected by a cliff and pine trees. With its beach bar, you can enjoy a drink or a meal. Also designated as one of the best beaches in Spain by the magazine traveler.es.
2️⃣ Cala Advocat: a little further along the road towards Calpe is the small cove of Cala Advocat with its lively beach restaurant on summer evenings.
3️⃣ Cala Pinets: This is a charming, secluded cove with golden sand. It also has a beach bar.
4️⃣ Cala de la Llobela: This cove is surrounded by nature. It's the perfect place for those who love a peaceful beach break.
5️⃣ Playa La Fustera: Although it's called a ‘beach’, it's more of a cove. It is Benissa's main beach and has golden sands. There is a children's play area, picnic areas and a beach bar.
6️⃣ Cala Les Banyetes: a small cove with crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings.

If you enjoy walking, you can take advantage of the Paseo ecológico de Benissa. This is a 3 km coastal path linking La Fustera beach to Calpe. The walk offers fantastic views of the sea.

Discover the beaches of Benitachell


Calpe, known for its famous Peñón de Ifach, offers a variety of beaches and coves. It has 14 beaches and coves along 13 km of coastline.
Here are some of the most outstanding ones:

1️⃣ La Fossa Beach: La Fossa is a beach with crystal clear waters, fine golden sand. It is an urban, quiet and family beach with views of the Peñón de Ifach.
2️⃣ Cantal Roig beach: Next to the Peñón de Ifach and the port, we find Cantal Roig beach. It offers an impressive setting and is ideal for children.
3️⃣ Playa Arenal-Bol: Located in the centre of Calpe, the beach has more than a kilometre of fine golden sand. It is an ideal place for lively promenades and water sports. It also has a wide variety of facilities, such as beach bars and restaurants.
4️⃣ Cala El Collao or Racó del Corb: This is an unspoilt cove perfect for diving and fishing.
5️⃣ Cala Gasparet: Accessible only from the sea, Cala Gasparet is a quiet bay of pebbles.
6️⃣ Cala Les Urques: located in the urbanisation of Maryvilla, the cove Les Urques is a dog-friendly beach.

Calpe also has other lovely beaches and coves, such as Cala del Morelló, Cala El Racó, Cala del Penyal and Cala Calalga.

Benitachell's beaches

In fact, it is recognised as one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. Although a little difficult to get to, it is a must-see beach, as much for the beauty of its cliffs as for the colour of its water and its golden sand.
2️⃣ Cala dels Tiestos: Hiking and beaches are the watchwords of this small cove, accessible on foot via a path known as the Ruta dels Testos. Like Cala Moraig, it is difficult to get to, but ideal for those seeking privacy and serenity in a natural setting. Get ready for a picturesque adventure as you explore its crystal-clear waters and natural surroundings.
3️⃣ Cala Llebeig: "Privacy" is the word that best describes Cala Llebeig. Indeed, this beach is only accessible from the sea. Here, the sound of the waves and the sea breeze will envelop you for a unique experience.
